Research Field

Mainly engaged in animal ecology research. Through behavioral, molecular biology, nutrition and genomics and other research techniques, explore the adaptation strategies of wild animals to the environment, reveal the ecological evolutionary adaptation mechanism of wild animals in extreme environments and group life, and answer how animals do Adaptation and how to interact with the environment, the central issue of animal ecology. Long-term studies on the social behavior of golden monkeys and individual genetic relationships have revealed the deep interbreeding mating system under the single-male and poly-female social relationship of golden monkeys, as well as the role of female kinship in maintaining golden monkey social units and in the spread of females; Long-term research on its diet and quantitative field research on its nutritional requirements have found that this species has a variety of dietary choices, and has the ability to adapt to digest these drastic changes in food recipes and grow food and obtain instant energy from it to adapt to extreme low temperature environments, Explain the evolutionary adaptation mechanism of langur monkeys, which should be distributed in temperate and tropical zones, in high cold and high altitude.
