He is a full professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Economics and Management, Northwestern University.
He got his Ph.D. from Northeastern University in 2013.
From 2006 to 2021, he work at the School of Economics and Management, Yanshan University, where he was an assistant professor, associate professor and be a full professor in 2016. He is also a master’s supervisor and doctoral supervisor. From August 2021 to September 2022, he work as a visiting professor at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada.
Prof. Yang was selected for the high-level talent introduction program of Shaanxi provinceas, selected as one of the first batch of "New Talent Project" of Yanshan University, selected as one of the "3-3-3" talent projects of Hebei Province, and selected as one of the young experts in tourism of National Tourism Administration of China.
He is currently the executive councilor of the Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management Branch of the China Society for Management Modernization, the executive councilor of the China Human Resource Development Research Association, a member of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), a project reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a thesis reviewer of the Ministry of Education's Degree Center of China, an editorial board member of Human Systems Management, and a reviewer of the International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management. International Journal of Hospitality Management, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Nankai Management Review, Journal of Management and other top journals.
He was awarded the title of outstanding member of China Democratic League in Hebei Province in 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
His main research interests are: Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. Including: organizational ethics and morality, human resource management in hospitality industry, and leadership, etc.
