Cold atom physics

In recent decades, cold-atom simulation has experienced rapid development. This technique allows for precise control over numerous parameters, including the number of atomic species, spin degrees of freedom, trap potential, atom-atom interaction, effective magnetic field distribution, and phase distribution of Bose-Einstein condensates. As a result, it provides a clean, ideal, and controllable system for investigating specific physical effects and uncovering new quantum phenomena.

Advancements in technology have also made space-time a manageable variable in experiments. This development has significantly advanced the simulation and study of quantum phenomena within curved space-time. Leveraging the high degree of control offered by simulation platforms, cold-atom experiments have consistently showcased macroscopic cosmological phenomena. Notable simulations include acoustic black holes, Hawking radiation, the Unruh effect, and the universe's expansion.

Currently, my interests focus on exploring the thermodynamic properties, phase structure, quantum fluctuations, and superflow phenomena of quantum gases in curved space. I aim to understand how curvature influences the physical properties of systems and investigate the topology of condensates in curved space under magnetic fields.
