Dr. Yunyao Zhang received the BA and PhD in electrical science and technology from the Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2008 and 2015, respectively. He is an assistant professor in the school of Information Science and Technology at Northwest University in China. He is currently the director of the Department of the Electrical Science and Technology in Northwest University. His research is focused on imaging spectral polarimetry, underwater target imaging enhancement using polarization information and polarized light transport in tissue. He has published journal papers, received funding and held patents in the field of imaging polarimetry and biomedical optics. He served for the executive committee of Polarization Technical Group of OSA. He is member of OSA and SPIE.
