历史学博士，主要研究隋唐史、军事与民族史。毕业于兰州大学敦煌学研究所，师从郑炳林教授，博士期间曾获得国家留学基金委的资助赴英国留学，合作导师为伯明翰大学史怀梅教授，在部委“一带一路”相关的职能部门参加过短期工作。主持及参与多项国家社科基金和省、市基金。
