Information resource management is a first-level discipline of management disciplines, which was officially renamed from the first-level discipline of library, information and archives management in September 2022. With the change of the name of the first-level discipline, the discipline faces new situations and problems in the positioning and development connotation of the discipline. This direction is committed to exploring the evolution and development law of disciplines by using sociological theories and literature citation relationships, theme models and data mining, and is committed to demonstrating the positioning, connotation and trend of information resource management from theoretical and empirical aspects, so as to provide research support for the establishment of China's independent information resource management discipline system, academic system and discourse system. In the process of method innovation based on the theme of information resource management, this direction will also try to use relevant methods to support the analysis of public management issues in the context of big data application scenarios and public policy topic selection, and provide interdisciplinary knowledge contributions for digital governance and public policy.
